Work health & safety requirements must be observed at all times during the assessment. This practical is not to occur on a live site with vehicles and machinery. The assessment consists of mutiple choice, true or false and short answer questions.Ī short practical assessment is to be conducted in a simulated environment, after successful completion of the theory assessment. Participants will undertake a theory assessment on the day of classroom training delivery. The hours required to be completed in Vocational Placement logbook are a minimum of 20 hours, prior to returning this to ASTA within 3 months of the training date. Participants are required to log on the job hours, being supervised and signed off by a current Traffic Control Licence holder.

Participants are required to attend training with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for a workplace including safely footwear and their workplace protective clothing suitable for conducting traffic control operations. When these classroom activities are successfully completed, participants will receive a Vocational Placement Logbook for completion and return to ASTA within 3 months of the date of training.
The Code of Practice Traffic Management for Construction or Maintenance Work 2008 will be made available for participants within the training room.Ĭlassroom training consists of theory and demonstration of the understanding of Traffic Control processes over a 1 day period.
