Rumour has it that there's a Red Dead Redemption remaster in the works, too. For starters, the purported release date is about two years away, and many things can change over that span. While RalphsValve has had a recent track record with his leaks, we should still treat the prospect of a Grand Theft Auto IV remaster with a healthy dose of scepticism. Lastly, the leaker adds that the Grand Theft Auto IV remaster will be bereft of multiplayer elements and focus on single-player. That is quite a long wait to play a then fifteen-year-old game, but it's not like there's a new Grand Theft Auto game due anytime soon.
Ive recently looked at some mini portable gaming PCs and they could run GTA V on lowest at 720p and it had 25. Mobile processors might not be that poweful, but portable gaming devices may be able to run it with the right optimization. Maybe in 2010 during EFLCs 10th anniversary. It will be bundled with the 'Episodes from Liberty City' (and presumably the other) DLC and will hit storefronts sometime in 2023. GTA IV might be possible on mobile, but probably not next year. Twitter user RalphsValve has heard from sources that Grand Theft Auto IV will be remastered for PC, Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 5, and, interestingly enough, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, too.
If a leak from an industry insider is to be believed, we could be seeing a remastered version of Grand Theft Auto IV in the not-too-distant future. Grand Theft Auto V has spanned across three consoles generations, so it's only fair that its predecessor gets a new breath of life.
With the first three Grand Theft Auto games all set to receive a fresh coat of paint, it's time to shift focus to the fourth game in the series, Grand Theft Auto IV.
