Buying the Pack for DDO Points will cost almost as much as the $60 USD Expansion Bundle if you want to buy the Aasimar Race unlock as well if buying them at full point price. I am in a some what similar state where I was looking to buy the Ravenloft expansion this last week or 2 when I returned to the game to discover that the Expansion pack was pulled from the Marketplace and put into a more expensive bundle with content I already own. If you only have the points for 1 I would say wait for the Adventure packs to be discounted before buying so that you can save some points. Sharn is slightly newer than Ravenloft and slightly different level ranges which may typically mean more players farming Sharn for items and xp in parties. I’ve studied noir and Sharn doesn’t quite make it imo. I wouldn’t even call it noir if I hadn’t heard Severlin call it that. Sharn is a sort of odd mix of noir, and DDO’s brand of steampunk and it falls short in that regard as far as immersive thematic quality goes. Both have a uniqueness and things to impress the player, but Ravenloft is perhaps about as close as one can ask of DDO for perfection. And it’s NOT an easy thing to stand out so well in a game with so much undead already. It’s just plain easy to even objectively argue that Ravenloft is better made in story, environment, and polish.
Ravenloft unless you have a specific and necessary reasoning against-Ravenloft like you don’t like Spooky forests, dark themes, or undead or pro-Sharn like you just gotta have the inquisitive favor unlockable or specific set equipment.
